Thomas George Pisano, 60, of St. Petersburg, FL and formerly of Far Hills passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL.

Tom was born in New Rochelle, NY on December 7, 1961, the eldest child of the late Charles F. and Patricia Ann Gannon Pisano.  He moved to New Jersey as an infant and was a graduate of Green Brook High School in Green Brook.  He was a graduate of Centre College in Danville, Kentucky with a degree in Economics and Spanish.  While in Kentucky he became a breeder of a thoroughbred race horse that raced in the Kentucky Derby and placed third at the Preakness Stakes.

After college, Tom’s love of travel flourished.  He visited every continent except Antarctica and created great memories.  His love of travel shaped his career which started with a new startup airline called Peoples Express, which led to a nearly 40 year career in the travel industry.  He was currently employed as a travel agent with Tzell Travel in New York City for the past 20 years.

Tom’s other great love was music.  He loved the New York City music scene and was always discovering great new bands before they hit the big time.  He merged his love of music and travel by becoming the travel agent for dozens of bands for their concert tours in the United States and around the world.

He was a loving son, devoted brother, doting uncle, caring cousin, and compassionate friend.  His dry, quick wit and huge heart made him loved by many.

Tom was predeceased by his father, Charles F. Pisano on November 14, 2013; by his mother, Patricia Ann Gannon Pisano on November 3, 2011; and by his sister, Nancy L. Pisano on November 27, 1982.

He is survived by two brothers, Charles F. “Chuck” Pisano, Jr. and his wife, Rhonda, of Bernardsville and Paul E. Pisano and his wife, Jane, of Alexandria, VA; four nieces and nephews, Alexandra Wilford and her husband, Andrew, Charles F. “Chad” Pisano III, Nancy Pisano and Jake Pisano; as well as many cousins and friends.

A funeral gathering will held at the Layton Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Bedminster on Monday, December 19  at 9:45am followed by a mass at St. Brigid Church, 129 Main Street, Peapack at 10:30am.  Interment will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.  Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Sunday, December 18 from 3:00 – 6:00pm.  In lieu of flowers the family requests that you write a note or pick up the phone to contact someone you love in remembrance of Tom.  A donation to the charity of your choice in Tom’s name could also be considered and appreciated.
