Helen A. Bowe, 89, of Bedminster passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at her home.

She was born in Columbus on November 13, 1932, a daughter of the late Frank Albert and Marie Beck Bowe.  She grew up in Columbus and had lived in Jensen Beach, FL and Atlantic City before moving to Bedminster on October 1, 2021.

Helen was a graduate of Mercer School of Nursing in Trenton.

She was a registered nurse employed by the State of New Jersey Health Department for 25 years.  She was a member of the Professional Registered Nurses, Inc.

Helen loved to travel and, at one time, maintained an RV in which she visited the forty nine continental states and all provinces of Canada.  She kept meticulous records of her travels and enjoyed photographing the sites she visited.

Other interests of Helen’s included photography, jigsaw and crossword puzzles.

She staunchly maintained her independence and privacy, but made friends easily.

Helen is survived by two daughters, Susan Manion and her husband, Thomas, of Bedminster and Patricia Beddia and her husband, Steve, of Egg Harbor Township; two grandchildren, Natale Cozzolongo and his wife, Kathleen, of Maplewood and Caitlin Bender and her husband, Brian, of Laurel, MD; and three great grandchildren, Leonardo and Lucca Cozzolongo and Olivia Bender.  She was predeceased by two sisters, Marian Howard and Alberta Tucker.

A private cremation will be held and a family burial of her cremains will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Bordentown.  Arrangements are by Layton Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Bedminster.
