Steven D. Mooney BANGOR Steven D. Mooney, 62, of Bangor, PA, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at St. Luke’s Hospice House in Bethlehem, PA, with his loving wife by his side. Born January 7, 1959 in Meyersville, NJ to the late Mitchell H. and Hele P. (Cristy) Mooney. He attended Watchung Hills Regional High School. He and his wife, Tracy (Loock) Mooney celebrated their 42nd Wedding Anniversary on November 11, 2020. After moving from New Jersey to Pennsylvania, in 1989, Steven worked at Easton Cemetery and Nazareth Middle School as a custodian. A farmer at heart, he worked for Four Oaks Farm in Bridgewater and for the Pierreponts Peapacton Farm in Bedminster, NJ. He loved music, gardening and making Christmas cookies for his family and friends. Steven enjoyed watching football, especially his beloved “Eagles”, and baseball. H He coached for Lower Mt. Bethel Girls Softball and Co-Ed Soccer. Steven was a member of the Slate Belt Senior Citizen Center and the Belvidere United Methodist Church. Predeceased by his parents, Mitchell and Helen, his brothers John Vernon Mooney and Arthur Dean Mooney, surviving in addition to his wife, Tracy, are his daughter and son-in-law,, Becky and her husband Joshua E. Long, his son, Steven M. Mooney, and his nephew, Mitchell D. Mooney. Visitation will take place at the Layton Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Bedminster, NJ on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 from 12 pm – 2 pm.
