Mary S. Penn, 88, of Chester Township passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 30, 2025 at Bryan Manor Care Center in Chester Township.

She was born in St. Petersburg, FL on June 11, 1937, one of twins to the late Jerome and Anne Martin Penn.  She grew up in Chester and had lived in Far Hills and Morristown.  She was a resident of Heritage Manor Senior Living for 12 years moving to Spring Hills Assisted Living in Morristown for a few years before moving to Bryan Manor in Chester Township seven years ago.

Mary attended Chester Elementary School and graduated from Roxbury High School.

She was a production worker employed by Colgate – Palmolive Company in Morristown for 17 years prior to retiring.

She was a communicant of the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Bernardsville.

Miss Penn is predeceased by her mother, Anne Martin Penn in 1957; by her father, Jerome S. Penn in 1962; and by her twin sister, Elizabeth S. Penn in 2024.  There are no immediate survivors.

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, December 4 at 10:30am at the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 111 Claremont Road, Bernardsville.  Interment will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Randolph Township.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Mendham First Aid Squad or the Mendham Fire Department.  Arrangements are by Layton Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Bedminster.
