Judith A. Baureis, 77, of Annandale passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.

She was born in Somerville on September 13, 1947, the only child of the late Edward and Mary C. Hoke Kropewnicki.  She grew up in Bedminster and had lived in Watchung for many years.  She lived in Lakewood, PA for 11 years moving to Annandale in 2007.

Judy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She was a homemaker for most of her life.

Judy loved traveling, gambling, doing puzzles, fishing, horseback riding, watching car racing and raising dogs.

She was predeceased by her husband, Donald H. Baureis, who died May 16, 2007.

Mrs. Baureis is survived by a son, James E. Baureis of South Plainfield; a daughter, Carol Ann Baureis and her husband, Daniel Hudson of Washington Township, Warren County, NJ; and three grandchildren, Alexander Joseph Hunt, Nicole Ann Hunt and Dylan James Hunt.

A graveside service and interment will be held on Thursday, January 9th at 12:00pm at New Germantown Cemetery, Joliet Street, Oldwick.  Relatives and friends may visit at the Layton Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Bedminster on Wednesday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the ASPCA or any animal humane society.
