Jack H. Hill, 87, of Green Brook passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville.

He was born in Hampton on January 17, 1938, a son of the late Wellington L. and Maude Ansback Hill.  He had lived in Bedminster, Bound Brook and Middlesex before moving to Green Brook 11 years ago.

Jack was employed as a groundskeeper for several estates in the Somerset County area including Dunwalke Farms in Bedminster.

He was a longtime, active member of the Bound Brook United Methodist Church where he was involved with the Men’s Group that organized church dinners, served as an usher collecting the offering and helped clean the church.

He was predeceased by a son, Vincent D. Hill, who died November 2, 2011.

Mr. Hill is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marie Potts Hill of Bridgewater; a daughter, Tracy L. Hill of Bedminster; a son, Peter D. Hill of Washington; a daughter-in-law, Leatrice Hewitt of Chester; 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Bound Brook United Methodist Church.  All other arrangements will be private under the direction of Layton Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Bedminster.
