Bruce Alan Waage, 78, of Bridgewater passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville.

He was born in Teaneck on January 1, 1946, one of six children of the late Clark Alvin and Harriet Chamberlain Waage.  He had resided in the Mid-West for many years raising a family.  He was a 43 year resident of Whitehouse before entering Sunrise of Bridgewater in August 2023.

Bruce was a US Air Force veteran having served from 1968 to 1972 attaining the rank of sergeant.

He was a 1973 graduate of Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas receiving a BA in Economics.

Mr. Waage served as vice president of Waage Electric, Inc. of Kenilworth since 1978.

He was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church in Whitehouse Station and an avid New York Yankees fan.

In addition to his parents, Bruce is predeceased by his wife, Theresa Mary Canon Waage who died November 23, 2023; and by a brother, Thomas Clark Waage who died November 20, 2022.

Mr. Waage is survived by a daughter, Laura Waage; a son, Alan Waage; 2 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Curtis Marc Waage of Martinsville and Christopher Waage of Florida; 2 sisters, Tomalee Waage of Honolulu, Hawaii and Gara Doll-Kolbow of Post Falls, Idaho; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A private interment service with military honors will be held at Rural Hill Cemetery in Whitehouse.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions  may be made to Worldwide Marriage Encounters, 275 West Hospitality Lane, Suite 203, San Bernardino, CA 92408 or at wwme.org or to ASPCA, P.O.
