Brenda Ann Farrell, 64, of Holt, MI, formerly of Mendham Township and Bernardsville, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at her home.

She was born in Morristown on December 16, 1960, a daughter of Ruth V. Franks Farrell and the late John Joseph Farrell.  She grew up in Bernardsville and had lived in Mendham Township for over 20 years before moving to Holt, MI in September 2020.

Brenda was a graduate of Bernards High School in Bernardsville.

Brenda’s working career began with AT&T in Morristown as a secretary.  She worked her way up handling executive appeals for billing, and lastly was an information technology specialist in the IT group responsible for testing in the Bedminster office.

Brenda had a special love for animals; loved her family immensely; and was often referred to having “a heart of gold”.

She was predeceased by her father, John Joseph “Jack” Farrell; and by three siblings, Timothy Patrick Farrell who died July 13, 2018, John Joseph Farrell, Jr. who died December 26, 1991 and Teresa Marie Rogers who died September 19, 2022.

Brenda is survived by her mother, Ruth V. Farrell of Holt, MI; her brother, Rory J. Farrell of Byram Township, NJ; and by her brother-in-law, Harry Rogers of Leslie, MI.

Relatives and friends may visit at the Layton Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Bedminster on Saturday, March 29 from 10:00am to 12:00pm.  A funeral service will follow at 12:00pm at the funeral home.  Interment will take place at New Germantown Cemetery, Oldwick.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to one’s favorite animal shelter or organization.
