Andrea Simon Katz, 69, of Bedminster passed away on Monday, October 24, 2022 at her home.

She was born in Manhattan, NY on August 31, 1953, a daughter of the late Charles Joseph and Geraldine Wagner Simon.  She grew up in Lawrence, Long Island, NY and had lived in Bridgewater from 1994 to 2021 moving to Bedminster one and a half years ago.

Andrea was a 1975 graduate of Rider University in Lawrenceville receiving her teaching degree.

Mrs. Katz was the co-owner of Far Hills Pharmacy in Bedminster from 1991 to 2020.

Andrea was a member of the Sushi Sisters Club and enjoyed playing mahjong and bunco.

She was a member of Temple Shalom in Bridgewater and a member of the Jewish Women Renaissance Project.

She was predeceased by a brother, Jon Simon, who died July 19 2017; and by a sister, Linda Jill Simon Herman, who died March 11, 2015.

Mrs. Katz is survived by her husband of 31 years, Ira Katz; her son, CJ Katz of Bedminster; her daughter, Gillie S. Katz of Bedminster; and several cousins.

The Katz family will sit Shiva on Wednesday, October 26 and Thursday, October 27 from 1-3pm and 5-7pm at 411 Main Street, Bedminster.  All other services will be private.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue, 302 Tortuga Lane, Surf City, NC  28445.  Arrangements are by Layton Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Bedminster.
