Robert Hutton, Jr.

Robert Hutton, Jr., 64, of Bedminster passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025 at his home.

He was born in Jersey City on April 18, 1960, a son of the late Robert and Rita Longano Hutton.  He grew up in Berkeley Heights and New Providence and had been a resident of Bedminster for the past 32 years.

Bob was a 1984 cum laude graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison – Florham Park receiving a degree in Psychology.

He volunteered for several organizations over the years including; the Summit Library as support staff for 10 to 15 years, the Raptor Trust in Basking Ridge for 10 years, and at the Somerset Regional Animal Shelter in Bridgewater walking dogs for 5 years.

Bob held a black belt in Taekwondo.  He enjoyed reading, music and movies, and loved animals having had various cats and dogs over the years.

He is survived by his sister, Elizabeth J. Manocchio and her husband, Alan P., of Bedminster; and his niece, Julie C. Ucelli and her husband, Salvatore, of Monroe; and his cat, Mittens.

Funeral services will be private under the direction of Layton Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Bedminster.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be  made to the American Lung Association, P.O. Box 756, Osceola, WI  54020-0756 or at lung.org.
