John H. Harman

John H. Harman, 79, of Stirling passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown.

He was born in Morristown on March 20, 1943, a son of the late John H. Sr. and Evelyn Allegar Harman.  He had been a lifelong resident of Stirling.

John was a graduate of Rutgers University receiving a bachelor’s degree in business.

Mr. Harman was a purchasing agent employed by American Hoechst in Bridgewater for many years before retiring.

He was a member of the National Rifle Association.  He enjoyed bow and arrow hunting, and was a great tinkerer having a knack for self repairs.

John is survived by two sisters, Barbara H. Johnson of Bedminster and Patricia Allen and her husband, Jim, of Budd Lake; 7 nieces and nephews; and 14 grand nieces and nephews.

Private family services were held at Layton Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Bedminster on Saturday, April 9th followed by interment at St. Vincent De Paul Cemetery in Stirling.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Long Hill First Aid Squad, P.O. Box 145, Gillette, NJ  07933.
