Hans H. Gruendler

Hans H. Gruendler, 95, of Long Valley passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Bryan Manor Care Center in Chester Township.

He was born in Germany on April 20, 1926.  He immigrated to the United States in 1957 and settled in Clifton.  He had been a Long valley resident since 1970.

Hans served with the German Navy during World War II.

Mr. Gruendler was a union mason for many years before retiring.

Hans enjoyed helping his friends and neighbors with masonry and carpentry work.  He was a member of a German Club in Sparta.

He was predeceased by his wife, Hilda Gruendler, who passed away in 2015.

There are no immediate survivors.

A private cremation service was held under the direction of Layton Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Bedminster.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX  75284-0692.
