Robert R. Henry, of Empty Pockets Farm in Pottersville, went to meet his maker on June 4th, 2025.

Born on November 14, 1940 in Plainfield, New Jersey to Harold James and Margaret (nee Raleigh) Henry, Bob was a fun and feisty youngest son to his folks, and a loving, doting little brother to Sally and Samuel (Jerry).  Bob spent his childhood in Plainfield, enjoying the company of his siblings and friends, along with the nickname “Budgy”, for his love of sweets and treats.

Bob went to high school at The Lawrenceville School, where he made friends with classmates and faculty alike.  After graduating from Lawrenceville, Bob headed to Williams College in Massachusetts, where he continued to make lifelong friends; study economics, history, languages and literature.

Post Williams, Bob attended Harvard Business School and received his MBA.

Bob worked at Morgan Stanley in Manhattan, post-grad school, up until 1989, when he hung out his shingle and launched RRHenry & Co. in Far Hills.  Bob ran his company until 2025.

Bob loved to ski, run, hunt, fish, bike, read, walk and hike.  He enjoyed teaching his daughters about his passions, and nurtured their love of nature, flora and fauna.

Bob was an active, engaged member of the Pottersville community and the Lamington Presbyterian Church.

Bob is survived by his adored and adoring wife of 57 years, Carol; his first daughter, Heather; his youngest daughter, Kim; son-in-law, Jim; and five beautiful grandchildren, Blake, Haley, Damian, Henry and Caroline.

A celebration of Bob’s beautiful, bountiful life will be held at a later date.
